  • Make a screen recording of the chart you are trying to learn/practice and import it to SGT Use SGT to figure out what fingerings you want to use at 50% speed and practice at that speed until you feel comfortable with it. You can also go to discord servers to ask for fingerings from other players.
  • If the in-game chart maker allows you to modify the bpm of the chart, start from around 75% speed and increase it by 10 bpm once you’re comfortable with the fingerings. Repeat the process until you get to the original bpm of the song.
  • If the in-game chart maker doesn’t allow you to modify the bpm of the chart, continue using SGT at 75% and increase the speed by 5% once you’re comfortable. Repeat the process until you get to 100% (normal speed).

This method takes quite a lot of time, so if you’re capable of doing so, it’s fine to skip a few breakpoints to make the process faster. However, this method is very good to integrate the new fingerings into your muscle memory, so it’s generally recommended to follow through the entire process. I would recommend hitting the pattern at least 3 times in a row before you move on to the next breakpoint.
