Finger Sleeves¶

Finger sleeves are coverings that go over a player's fingers. Utilizing these sleeves for rhythm games has a few tangible benefits.

1 - Advantages¶

1.1 - Significantly Reduced Friction¶

Finger sleeves are smooth and silky by design, which reduces the friction caused by sliding or flicking motions in rhythm games. As a result of reduced friction, a device is less likely to move around while playing.

1.2 - Increased Touch Performance¶

Finger sleeves are designed to be conductive, meaning that touch input may be improved as a result. While the claims have yet to be fully verified, increasing the chances of working touch input is always welcome for rhythm games.

2 - Use Cases¶

2.1 - No Screen Protector¶

Finger sleeves sigificantly reduce friction for devices with no screen protector applied. While screen protectors are always recommended for rhythm games, players on a tighter budget may consider purchasing a set of finger sleeves for this purpose.

2.2 - Tempered Glass Screen Protector¶

As tempered glass screen protectors are designed to retain the properties of the main screen, they may share similar amounts of friction. Finger sleeves are highly recommended with this type of screen protector.

2.3 - Matte Glass Screen Protectors¶

Matte glass screen protectors have smooth textures by design. As a result, using finger sleeves with matte glass screen protectors may cause the touch surface to be too slippery.
